Post-frame design is my first love. There are very few structures as complex as the humble pole barn. Lateral loads are resisted by a complex interaction of the light gauge metal diaphragms, shear walls, embedded posts, soil and the concrete floor slab. It is my honor to have made a few contributions which have helped to advance the state of the art of post-frame design.
